The Alpha lasted from June 30 to December 3, 2010, and the Beta lasted from Decemto November 11, 2011. Infdev, which means "infinite development", hard from 27 from February to June 30, 2010. Indev, which means "in development" hard from Decemto February 23, 2010. The next phase, later called Classic, lasted from May 17 to May 10. What is now called pre-Classic refers to the unreleased versions of Minecraft during the week from May 10 to May 16, 2009.
